How to calculate the total amount of wool you need to complete a project.
Example: you need to knit a blanket that measures 70 cm x 50 cm. Your swatch is 17 sts x 24 rows.
Step 1: Multiply the width by 3.
Example: 50 x 3 = 150
Step 2: Multiply this number by the number of rows obtained for 10 cm
Example: 150 x 24 = 3600 CM
Step 3: Multiply this number by the height divided by 10
Example: 3600 x (70/10) = 3600 x 7 = 25200 CM or 252 meters.
ATTENTION: Count 20% more wool for seed stitch and even 50% more for cables.
